My characters typically inhabit fascinating and inviting locations that I like to think provide readers with an escape from the “real world.”
In college, I studied folklore, anthropology, creative writing, astronomy, and my boyfriends (TMI?). I was always planning to become a professor of religious studies or linguistics, but after getting an M.A., when I began to go for my doctorate, I was ultimately saved from that drudgery by my inherent laziness in gathering letters of recommendation.
After a stint in the publishing industry as an editor, I ditched that to pursue my own desires of conquering worlds–both real and imagined–one book at a time.
