Ten Days of Feed 3! Starting with: Cover Reveal!

Feed 3 comes out on December 15th and this post should have gone up yesterday. But let's pretend that today is the 5th and not my mom's birthday (Happy birthday, Mom! She doesn't read my blog, haha, but if she happened to glance at it, I would definitely want her to know that she MUST have a happy birthday.).

I have a bunch of stuff planned to celebrate the long awaited release of this book. So I want to get right into it.

First of all, if you're not signed up for my mailing list and you're a fan of my Feed series (also known as the Fooko series), then you should know that if you DO sign up for it, you will receive a copy of "Feed 0.5 (Genesis)", which is only available to my newsletter subscribers. Here's the link to do that.

Secondly, the cover of the new book!

Pretty great, eh? Yeah, it sticks with the style. Thematically speaking.

Feed 3 is going to be available in paperback and as a Kindle edition. It won't be available from any other retailer except Amazon. If it ever is, I'll let you know. For now, you'll be able to read it on Kindle Unlimited. It's going to be on sale for 99 cents for the first week before it goes up to $2.99.

OK, one more thing. Feed 1 and 2 are currently not available in paperback because I'm still reformatting them into the smaller (and better) size. As soon as they're back on sale as paper back, I'll let you know.

The God Machine Gets a New Cover. Free on Amazon!

One of my earliest short stories just got a new cover. Check it out below! Also, if you’re into sci-fi shorts, this one is free till Tuesday at midnight, so download it now, read it later (or now, you know, if that’s what you want to do).

In other updates, I’m going to be at a table in the artist alley at SLC Fan Xperience (Matt Smith asked me to be his date! Kidding. But you know he’s going to be there, right?). Look for me mooching off my sweet friends at the iPlates table. I’ll have hard copies of some of my books if you want to buy any of them without having to pay shipping. Or taxes.

Also, Feed 3 is still coming out soon. It’s STILL at the proofreader. Geez. Who is this proofreader? She takes FOREVER (it’s my mom. She’s awesome). Kidding, proofreader. You rocks.

I meant to say “rocks.” As if she hasn’t done everything for me already in my life–making me, going through LABOR for me,raising me, and picking me up STILL when I fail or get depressed, now I’m making her proof my books! I’m spoiled. I really am.

Anyway, here’s the super sweet cover. Hopefully everyone loves it as much as I do!

Cities of the Sun Cover Reveal

So I updated the Cities of the Sun short story cover on Amazon. It runs for .99 cents, just because I can’t make it free without doing loopty-doos and crazy tricks using Smashwords, but right now it’s FREE. It should be LIVE tomorrow. Check it out (yeah, the hot guy really does have something to do with the actual story, I mean, have you READ it?)!

Cover Release for Feed 3

Feed 3 is gearing up for publication! So, with that in mind I wanted to throw the cover out there for your eyeballs to ogle and your brains to sup from.

Sup from. Sick.

I mean, that should be “from which for your brains to sup.” That . . . that looks wrong. Let me see. “for your brains from which to sup.” Still . . . just, not right.

Who cares? I will use the awkward phrase if I want!

Anyway, the Feed 3 cover is pretty awesome. I mean, what I love about it is the theme of surveillance, in this kind of old school propaganda look. That sort of propaganda is part of the corporate/government state within the books. So it’s fun to carry it out into the real world. *Shiver*

And remember, Feed 3 is ALL NEW MATERIAL. Some new characters turn up and things get a little more twisty-turny. I think you’ll have a hard time deciding who is bad and who is good, because, isn’t that the way it always is? I mean, who is all bad, like in real life? There’s a few out there, but hopefully most of us don’t have to hang out with that sort of abhorrent monster. Right?

Godfrey*. I hope not.

Hmm. I could probably sit here and ramble on about book 3 and 4 all night. But I’ll save it. Maybe for the cover reveal for book 4! OOOOOOH.

So here’s the cover for Feed 3.

*Godfrey is a non-swear my mother likes to use. It’s similar to its brother “Gadfrey.” Or “Gad,” which she also uses.

Feed Re-Release Cover Reveal!

Some of you may have heard that I’m re-packaging Feed. This is an experiment to see how the more serialized version of book-selling goes. There were also some major and minor changes to the first book and I wanted to transition those who’ve already read the first one so that when they pick up the second book, they’re not totally shocked. The big news then is that the second book is done!

The other news is that I’ll be releasing things all over again! Yay!

So, first off, is that Feed 1 (there will be Feed 2, Feed 3, and Feed 4 after that!) is done and ready. Not *that* much has changed, but I needed to announce that there *are* some changes. Keep that in mind if you get the new version.

That said, I’ll be releasing it fully in, two weeks, possibly sooner. It has about 110 pages, and will be available in both e-book and paperback. The paperback version won’t be released at the same time as the e-book, but will come out about two weeks after the e-book version comes out.

So here’s the new cover! I’d love to hear if you guys think it’s an improvement!

‘A Boat Made of Bone’ Cover Reveal

It’s finally here, the day you’ve been waiting for! Well, at least I’ve been waiting for. The moment I saw the initial draft of this, I couldn’t wait to share it. I almost spoiled everything and posted it immediately for all the world to see.

The cover was done by the flipping amazing Nathalie Suellen of Brazil. She’s worked on covers for writers from major publishers like Simon and Schuster, Harper, Random House, and Penguin, amongst many others. She’s been featured in magazines like Imagine FX, IVEA, and Photigy. I feel pretty lucky that she agreed to work on my cover. She’s not only a phenomenal designer/artist, but she’s also friendly and easy to work with.

So, here’s the cover! Make sure you click on the link to add A Boat Made of Bone to your Goodreads shelf. It’s scheduled to come out on January 14th.
